These trouble-shooting instructions are for visitors wanting to view the site in Chinese. Users may have problems when running Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP. Chinese characters may appear as blocks or other nonsense characters. Many other browsers and operating systems do not have issues displaying Chinese characters. Here are three solutions for the problem:
Upgrade to a later version of Internet Explorer or try a different browser.
- Push Alt to bring up the File menu.
- Go to /tools/internet options/fonts/
- Set the “Language Script” to Chinese Traditional
- Select the only option – Arial Unicode MS
- Accept the changes
